Nous Commençons par construire une maison d'accueil d'orphelins et d'handicapés au Nigéria dans une village à URUALLA. L'opération nous coutera:

Nous nous proposons de construire des centres d’accueil pour les enfants orphelins afin de leur offrir une chance de réussir leur avenir et leur vie future.

C’est ainsi qu’actuellement, nous sommes sur le point de construire la première maison d’accueil pour nos orphelins qui sont encore logés dans les familles qui soutiennent notre œuvre en attendant la réalisation de l’orphelinat.

Le devis de ce projet s’élève à quatre vingt huit mille neuf cent quatre vingt onze et quatre vingt trois centimes d’euros (88 992€). Le devis détaillé est joint à cette lettre.

Pour réaliser ce projet, nos moyens sont malheureusement insuffisants et nous souhaiterions une aide financière de votre part, elle nous serait extrêmement utile. Nous nous tenons à votre entière disposition pour plus d’amples explications.

For Saint Francis of Assis, God’s act of love compels us to love that which is weak, despised, and vulnerable; for in doing so, we love what God loves. Such imitation of divine love enables us to see the presence of grace in all that God loves.

One's life can be prayer in action when kindness and caring prevail. prayer led Saint francis to a self-emptying like that of Christ. He gave up every thing he had begging from door to door when he could not get money for his work, bringing sadness or disgust to the hearts of his former friends and ridicule from the unthinking. A few people began to realise that this man (Francis) was actually trying to be Christian.

Care for those in poverty is a part of the good works that flow out of one’s faith. Care for the needy is an important aspect of our identity as followers of Christ. Such care is not a tangential or optional element, but rather, an essential element of discipleship. Generosity is a Christ-like virtue. If we take this insight seriously, we can never be comfortable or complacent with the fact that there are those among us who cannot meet their basic human needs, or live under the threat of becoming poor through complex circumstances. As human beings created in the image of God, we share a common humanity. Christ blessed our humanness as “the Word made flesh … who dwelt among us.” The Gospel narratives reflect that in his public ministry, this same Jesus Christ purposefully identified himself with the poor and marginalized.

Because of our common humanity, and because of Jesus’ chosen identification with the poor and needy, they are to be understood as subjects, not objects, and are to be treated with the same dignity and worth accorded to others. My friend Saint John Chrysostom told us “ … When you see on earth the man who has encountered the shipwreck of poverty, do not judge him, do not seek an account of his life, but free him from his misfortune.”

Gregory of Nyssa's expression is even stronger than that of my friend John Chrysostom and more pointedly Christocentric: “Do not despise those who are stretched out on the ground as if they merit no respect. Consider who they are and you will discover their worth. They bear the countenance of our Savior.”
